We are a local, family-run business that has been at it for 3 generations. Our father, Abdeali, started working in eyewear when in Tanzania, then he moved to Vancouver and ran a lens manufacturing company. Abasa Optical was founded by our dad in 1984 and is now run by us–two sisters and grandchildren with a passion for matching eclectic clients to the eyewear that makes their personalities pop.

We are located in Vancouver’s West End, in the heart of Davie Village. We strive to represent the diversity of our neighbourhood by providing unexpected eyewear options in bold styles that have as much personality and variation as our customers.
